Favorite Roadname ever?
Posted by 88gta350 on Sunday, May 23, 2004 1:37 AM
At the risk of starting another "I hate your roadname" flamewar, thought I'd post a little poll. What's your favorite road, fallen or otherwise? It could be a big conglomerate like UP, NS, Conrail, or a small short line that captured your heart.

Mine?

For me there are two.
WW&F - Wisscaset, Waterville, and Farmington
Ma&Pa - Maryland and Pennsylvania
Enjoy

It's a tie for me between the Canadian Pacific and the New York Central.

Hey Paul, I saw the WW&F today, I didn't see any passengers, so I'm not sure if they're open yet or not. They have a right-of-way through my friend's property, so whenever they want to, they can have a free ride, round trip. We've gone to visit and ride the train in past years, My daughters love every second of it, just like thier dad.
Back to the topic at hand, the Maine Central is my all-time favorite roadname(since I have lived in Maine all my life!) ,but my favorite narrow guage is definitely the WW&F!

I also have 2 favs[:D]
Western Maryland &
Maryland Midland.
Best part is I only have to model the scenery for 1, cuz they run on the same tracks, separated by a little bit of time. Switching roads for me is easy, I just do a little time warp! (eh Rocky Horror fans?)

I also like the D&H and Nickel Plate too![;)]

Southern Pacific, DRGW, WP. Always liked the little scrappy roads.
