Prototype resources

How much do you use non model railroad resources? I'm thinking of prototype items like historical societies, timetables, rule books, maps, etc.
There is a wealth of interesting information available, do you use any of it?

I sometimes think I do more research than modeling! I've used it all, from online photo websites to railroad track charts to tabulating the data on thousands of form 19's. When I'm looking for recreational railroad-related reading, I'll generally grab a book on the prototype before a modeling magazine.

Anything train related gets my attention, and almost everything from old RR adds in Life & Look to BNSF's web site tell you something about the prototype.
It's all good!
