Didn't read all the replies to this thread but here is my 2 cents: ninety-one Love 'em all Switch 'em around Premise:  Small (generic SW USA local) layout (15' X 5')  plus 91 locos and 200+ cars = variety and illusion grand layout, no two days are the same.  The rest, while awaiting their turn on the layout, are on display in lighted cases. Besides, the most fun I have had in years is to take a preowned loco and improve it with r&r and a good decoder.
