In February 2002, my wife and I lived in Whitefish, MT, and wanted to go to the twin cities to see a show. We took the Empire Builder overnight to St Paul, napped in a hotel, went to the show, and had a cab take us right back to the station, where we caught the Empire Builder back to Whitefish. Had a roomette both ways, great scenery, nice people, sleeping was easy if you are on the lower level. On the upper it's a little like being on the top deck of a medium size cruise ship. <br /> <br />
