Recipe for Diluted white glue

I am in need of some help. I am looking for the recipe for Diluted white glue or Matte Medium[:I] and I can not find it anywhere. Can anyone help me? What portions do I have to use?

Just stir warm water into the white glue until it's about the consistency of milk. Have never diluted matte medium, but I think it's water-based, so warm water should work with that, too.

I use one part white glue to four parts water with great results..

Hi,
I agree with the other guys who responded about mixing warm water with the white glue. However, for some applications, like when I want to use Woodland Scenics ground cover, I use a 50/50 mixture of water and glue. You really will want to have various concentrations handy. I like to use an empty Palmolive Dish Detergent bottle to store the various mixtures. I have on hand one bottle with a 50/50 mixture and another 25% glue and 75% water. The Palmolive bottles are easy to open and close and dispense the glue easily.

Regarding matte medium; I use a mixture of 1/4...20% matte medium and 80% water for attaching ballast and most other applications of matte medium. A lot of guys will use white glue and water for ballast but it tends to dry with a waxy appearance whereas matte medium dries with a more "flat" finish. It's not really much more expensive to use matte medium. I buy the concentrated bottle from scenicexpress.com at $8.99 for 16 ounces. Therefore, once dilluted 4 to 1, you get well over a 1/2 gallon (80 ounces) which will last a long time. I dillute some matte medium to stronger concentrations for some applications but the 1:4 ratio works well most of the time.
