Atlas loco help

I recently purchased an "Atlas Master Locomotive Series - Silver" Dash 8-32BHW locomotive. It doesn't have a decoder, but it is decoder ready. I am planning on putting one of my Digitrax HO scale decoders in it, but I don't know how to take the top off. I am afraid of breaking it, or messing up some of the details. Does anyone have experience with this locomotive or a similar one? Also, what Digitrax decoder harness do I need to connect the decoder to the locomotive?

I have the older 2001 unit and running DC only. These are the insts for the older unit.
Remove the long hood and nose handrails to prevent damaging.
Referring to the exploded diagram, remove the fuel tanks and air filter at the rear of tank.
Unseat the locking tabs in the tank area with a SMALL flat head screw driver
Squeeze the rear of the shell to unseat the rear tabs and very gently pull up.
The rest should follow.
Should you still have some concerns and you don't get an answer as to the decorder
e-mail bill.nanney@qis-us.com Bill is a top notch master modeler and buys all the
lastest Kato-Atlas releases.
You may tell him I referred you to him
