OK, so when I was young, and to this point for me, the thoughts I have around modeling a railroad are based on hauling goods from one spot to another, with a loop that allows the train to run for an extended period of time. How does the "switching" that many of you do replace the "unending loop" that others use to entertain themselves as the trains roll by... What is the concept, and where is the challenge/fun in it? Just trying to figure out what I want to build [:D]
