Who got you hooked?

I got hooked when my family moved into a neighbourhood near some light industrial trackage over thirty years ago. I was twelve years old at the time, and as soon as I heard a train horn I hopped on my bike and headed down to the tracks to watch the switchers spot cars on the sidings. After watching them in action I decided to do a little railroading of my own and bought an HO scale train set with a model of a GM switcher. I've been hooked on switchers ever since, and over half my present locomotive fleet consists of diesel yard switchers.
