I live in the Twin Cities and my mom lives in the Milwaukee area, not too far from Mitchell Field. I take the Empire Builder to downtown Milwaukee, then the Hiawatha for the 10 min. ride to Mitchell Field (my mom's too old to make the drive downtown). Even when the train's been late, it's the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. Driving I-94 is almost dangerously boring, and it never seems like you're getting anyplace. On the train you can stretch your legs, see much better scenery, eat, have a nap - no troubles. Take the bus? It is to laugh. Fly? Laugh even harder.
