M.B. Austin 2-6-0 SP M-21 Mogul

I currently have an old M.B. Austin 2-6-0 Mogul that is in dire need of a new motor. The motor I pulled out seems to be an old Pittman -type motor but has no identifying numbers. The company has long since vanished from the model railroad scene. Can anyone help me find the proper replacement motor or where to find a table that can give me that information. Many thanks!

If the motor is shot likely the gear train needs replacing also. My first choice would be a remotor and regear kit by Northwest Short Line www.NWSL.com You can email them with your particulars and they will reply with part numbers and cost.
