Sorry all, I was infact talking about the rapido couplers on the front of the engine, I have a Bachmann GP-40 with those and it just makes it look ugly.(in my opinion). At the moment I don't have any Steam on my layout. Sorry for the confusion. I'm still confused as to what couplers to actually use because of the wide selection. To be honest I'm not even real sure what to look for, or the difference between one or the other.  thank you all for offering the information, this is one of the reasons I love this hobby so much!!!!!Thanks Norman.......
