I would go for UP Budd 85' streamliner cars to go with a set of Proto UP EMD E7s that I have. I bought a Rapido UP cafe car at my LHS for less than $15 but the two colors are miles apart. I like the Rapido cars for my Intermountain NP F units in the Loewy paint scheme where the match it well, better than with Walthers NP cars. Here the Walthers should match Proto, at least I hope so since Walthers owns Proto!

I would not balk at a minimum 24" radius on any 85' passenger cars. If a car can negociate less, the cars must be too far apart or the couplers and trucks must swing so wide that the car would likely to appear to be too high off the rails. I can't see any 85' car looking good on less than about a 30" radius, and even that looks tight.
