the "Never Ending Story" Story
Posted by Noah Hofrichter on Monday, March 22, 2004 8:10 PM
I've got the first ten pages of a never ending story compiled below. I want to eventually do the whole thing, as complete as I can get it. If you want to help, post that you will and what pages you plan on doing so somebody else doesn't do the same thing. Any help would be appreciated on this project. P.S. The little print exe. (1)means the start of a new page. One final thing, the views of this story do not necessarily reflect the views of this poster, namely me. So here goes:

(1)My train layout is so big its a M.E.S.S. Maintenance is hard my bench work collapsed! and now I sit broken hearted, wondering, "whats Next?" and then my wife says ohhhh you need more money to build a second layer but I need to stop buying a new pair of brass 4884's. I went on to purchase instead a 4664 Which is the (2)very epitome of looks over substance. Maybe i should sell it to grumpy old man who smiles fondly at broken diesels. But all is silent for a noisy Athearn engine. Although now I have a layout bigger then my house. My wife said to me make it bigger. 100,000x100,000 is still to small for me to get around the dang house.(3) So I'll run longer faster trains on my bigger and better layout. Suddenly, you realize you're not alone there is a feeling of doom! Is okay for dead people but not for a beautiful model railroad. Bachmann HO geeps are worse than my TYCO F3s. Oh the humanity[:0]of broken engines and shattered dreans I move forward in life forever4to railfan peacefully. Passenger trains rule frieght trains drool!!!! Love those Hudsons and those Columbias. And don't forget the great Allegheny's engines of superiority which rule supreme [bow] only in dreams. Big boys rule especially out west where alleghanies don't CHOO CHOO PSSSHHHH[(-D][(-D] [(-D] the challenger's good but yellowstones dominate. But aren't we supposed to be versed in three's. Cars and planes(5)are not cool unless on flatbed or scrapped, or turned into razors to be used and sold in stores everywhere! I think trains rock more than anything else in the country errrr...World! Out racing sunsets, the FeF-3 flys down the rails. Under pristine skies. I watch a streamliner race by going 70mph with 8 cars. Clouds lazing by (6) a storm brewing on the horizon lightning flashes everywhere!!! Grumpy Old Man breaks HO cars into millions of stars to be incinerated and crushed by people posting Into paper clips. Rail fanning is fun and model railroading is too. No other hobby is so much fun as these two. The best in combining history and eccentric fantasy. Forever model railroading will (7) rule over all the earth. I will post forever until I can’t see no more. But his time is to[o] short to remember what his dog said at the depot. Look! In the roundhouse, It’s a plane, no it’s a Jet-powered RDC. Oh what words of wisdom we have said today. I don’t know Seems we all (8) have to get new ideas from that girl who flashed her smile at my trains and broke them. Where’s this story going to end? No one knows, one thing’s certain I’ll be back! Riding the rails on the super chief must have been a mighty felling so is CNW and the 400 really enjoyed viewing and free drinks like in that (9) gin mill in the other city right next door miniature city vistas are the sight to see. They serve as a US army target. Up’s Big Blows. Happy days! The conductor yelled “all aboard,” then the E6 slowly cruses down the track into a rhythmic stride into the night toward Union Station. City lights glow, as Chicago burns brightly with lights. (10) the towering high rises great the streamliner at Dearborns station. The train was coming to a smooth, graceful end after a long swift journey across a continent divided by picturesque mountains I fell down in awe as the train exploded. Gomez Adams smiles at the rubble. Meanwhile back at Union Station, Metra trains packed with....... Next page, page 11.
