Thomas the Tank Engine
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 3:10 PM
I recently purchased an HO scale Bachman Thomas the Tank Engine for my son's layout. I found that it has an unusual coupler and was wondering if there was a way to convert this to a more conventional Kaydee type coupler. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Does it have the european/G-scale type? The harry potter train this this type.
Why would bachman put european copolars on these trains?

Asutte8888,
I didn't see a direct answer in a quick glance at Kadee's conversions, but you might try going to their Web site:
http://www.kadee.com
and using their Email link to ask them if they have come up with a conversion, as yet unlisted, for Thomas.

All of Bachmann's European trains (Harry Potter, Irish, Thomas, etc.) have international link and loop style couplers.

ASU:

Your question is more properly posed on the Bachman website.

It is not that the question is inappropriate here, I think Randy is suggesting that you might get a better response on the Bachmann forum. Go to http://www.bachmanntrains.com/ , click your country choise, and look for the "Ask the Bach-man" forum.
