I'm assuming AHC=IHC and IHC does sell wheels for their passenger cars. I just wish I had the stock #.

The stock AHM plastic wheels aren't too great in quality. You should be able to replace them with high quality 36" metal wheelsets from Kadee, Intermountain or Reboxx. If maintaining the car as "original" is important, try the next flea market. I noticed a lot of older AHM passenger cars for sale cheap at the last train show I attended.

Replacement wheels for IHC-Rivarossi Cars are $39 US for a 36 pack.

I don't think so!

Hi, Budliner

Walthers is the current importer of Rivarossi products to the U.S., so why not try them?

Have fun,

The AHM part number you are looking for is P-305-020 )Front and center drivers) if it is the geared driver the number is P-305-022.
I am also looking for an AHM part Short Spacer P- 120-019.
If you are successful please e-mail me with info at danobie@prodigy.net.
I can send you a copy of the parts list for your loco if it is of any value to you

Some times those AHM parts are hard to locate. It took me a couple of years to finally find the parts to get an 0-6-0 running. I hope you have better luck than I did. I am still looking for parts for an old Genoa 4-4-0. Do you need the complete wheel assembly or just one wheel? I don't have the original part but wonder if an IHC wheel can be substituted.

Hey, Ray!

Why don't you tell us which parts you're looking for, maybe someone can help? If that 4-4-0 is an old AHM/Rivarossi model, it's basically the same as the present day IHC 4-4-0. Probably only the motor is different - if anything.

Good luck!

Hi Oliver,
The Genoa is one of many basket case locos I've been piecing together. Its in need of one of the main rods to the cylinder, the driveshaft, the tender trucks, pickup wipers and truck screws. I've been looking for a parts loco at the shows, Just haven't found one at a decent price.

Budliner,
Is the wheel you need a spoked driver or a disc driver?

Yes replacing the driver and axle assembly would be the best solution.
I've replaced single drivers before but even with a quartering jig it can be a pain in the butt. There is also the possibility of it wobbling. I'm sure a set will turn up. I run across parts locos to rough for me to restore once in a while I'll keep it in mind.

The single AHM wheel I found Is a disc wheel from a Hudson. Guess it won't work out.
