IHC 31" passenger car axles

Has anyone used these axle sets from IHC?

If so are they any good?
I recently purchased a couple of IHC coaches, they're a decent looking model, the plastic axles have a moderate wobble to them. I can't complain considering I only paid $14 Can for them.
I tried using Proto axles but the shaft on them seem to be too big for the slots on the sideframe of the truck.

Any suggestion(s) would be appreciated.

From what I've seen, they are garbage. You'd be better off collecting some Intermountain or Kadee wheels.

I haven't used any of the IHC replacement wheel sets, but I made the mistake of purchasing the IHC replacement metal passenger car trucks. The axles in these trucks don't roll well at all, no matter what you do to them. Metal trucks do help add a little weight, and are necessary if you want to add interior lighting, but they also place more drag on the locomotive(s).

I replaced the wheels on my IHC cars and older AHM passenger cars with the IHC wheels. On the IHC cars they are a good fit and the cars now roll very well. On the old AHM cars the fit is slightly loose although they work well. In both cases the cars roll very easily now and derailments have disapeared.

I posted this question about 2 months ago and was told the IHC metal was a good as any fit and would not require any mods to the brake pads on the trucks.

I too bought the Life Like 33" wheels and they have a habit of popping out at the most inopportune time.

What's the stock number and cost on the IHC wheels?

I'm not going to bother with interors to my coaches. I'm going to "tint" the windows, painting them black from the inside.
I've done this with my locomotives to good effect.
On my Rivarossi cars, I used 31" Proto axle sets with good results.
No derailing even when traveling at high speeds.
