hello men and women of the model train persuasion,
i just bought the very nice Atlas #8 turnouts and i need to wire the frog, so that it has power for my itty bitty 4-4-0 and 0-4-0, 0-6-0, and even a 2-8-2. Its a big frog. can someone go intor the details, like what electronic equipment to purchase (relay!?)

Use the contacts on your Tortise switch motor. Or do what Iain Rice did on the Roque Bluffs project layout in MR.
Nigel N&W in HO scale, 1950 - 1955 (..and some a bit newer too) Now in San Jose, California

Caboose Industries makes a manual ground throw that has a set of contacts on it to power the frog.

Hmmm... I though a

was one crossing an Arizona highway in mid summer. [:D]
