Good news (for a change) about Galesburg Railroad Days

The Galesburg Register-Mail website has some good news about RR Days.
June 25-27. There will be bus tours of the yard -- you will not be permitted off the bus unfortunately but if we are lucky (?????!!!) they will be school buses where you can lower a window for photography rather than nice tour buses like we had to tour Rochelle Global III where pictures were shot through tinted windows
Also tentative plans are to have locomotives on display -- the former BNSF Executive F units owned by the Illinois RR Museum in Union. They have been to RR Days many times before. And Ron Hatch's poster painting this year will honor the Reindeer -- first locomotive in Galesburg 150 yrs ago. Combined with 4-8-4 261's visit on Friday (and nearby running on that Sunday) and RR Days looks a bit revived for the year.

[:)]Where exactly is this show at? I'm planning on vacationing more in the future and if this is a regularly held show, I might be able to check it out or tell railfan friends about it. I wasn't even aware that the executive Fs from BN had been retired! Are they still in the BN black and white scheme or were they painted into "pumpkins"? [:0]Yes, I am behind and playing catch up.[:D][8D][:)]
Thanks - AFP45

The old BNSF F units are in the green and cream (red striping) paint scheme like the 70MACs. They have been at Union for some years. The railroad part of RR days is at the Amtrak depot in downtown Galesburg, right on the old CB&Q main from Chicago.
The train show part of RR Days is at Carl Sandburg College which is north and west of downtown - take Henderson Street north and look for the signs. Sometimes they have had shuttle buses from the Amtrak depot
