Here's a UP intermodal lead by an 2 UP SD70Ms, a CSX Dash 9, and another UP SD70M. The train is in Barstow (UP does have trackage rights on BNSF in Barstow, Ca) on MSTS. Enjoy!

2 SD75Ms and a Dash 9 are stopped at San Bernardino while a Southern California Railroad (my own) stack train roll by in the backround.

Hi dougal,

Have you used Trainz, or just MSTS? What do you think of it/them? I am entertaining some ideas of virtual model railroading, and have heard the Trainz is more oriented to the modeller. Your feedback is appreciated.

Also, got any shots of steamers?

Sorry, I don't have Trainz. I have one screen of a NKP Berkshire taken before my old computer crashed and I lost everything on it. I'll find it and post it soon.

I wasn't aware that we had taken a turn for the virtual... interesting!

Makes me wonder what happened to my copy of MSTS. I was given one as a gift, but at the time I didn't have a computer that would run it properly. Now I do, but I think it got mixed up with my ex wife's junk, and she doesn't even know that she has it crammed in some box.

The price has come down, I should probably just buy another copy.

I'm using TRS2004, and I'm busy building a virtual version of my model railroad. Since I'm using the canned stuff right now, the buildings won't be right, but eventually.

Took my first ride on what I've gotten done so far yesterday. Pretty neat!

How do I take screen shots to save? I can think of some cool spots i've found in my travels.

Hi Mark , Is this the latest version of MSTS. You sure have my attention. This sure looks neat being in a different location . I only have the first version of this. & most of the add on's for it . "Thank You " PS; I'm a day late & a dollar short.

Here's what you do; First, you press "print screen" on your keyboard (it is to the right of F12), second, open a photo editing program and change the files to .jpgs, third, post the shots on a website (not a Yahoo group), like railfan.net, fourth, post them on this thread for all of us to see.

This is Train Simulator 1. It is the Cajon Pass Route (www.3dtrainstuff.com). It even has working defect detectors!
