About two yaers ago I switched over to digital (Digitrax/Soundtraxx). Although most motive power adapted, the K.M.s did not. I've been told by a few it can't be done but I'd really hate to give them up. Have anyone successfully been able to convert any of the older Rivarossi locos, most notably the K.M.s? I'd really appreciate any help on this.

Any HO scale locomotive can be adapted. Basically, you have to electrically isolate the motor.
If the motor is frame mounted, I'd just replace it with a Mashima or similar motor.
If the motor is truck mounted, it may require some significant effort. And I would start looking at available models for trucks with the correct wheel spacing, then adapt that chassis to the K-M shell.
