HO scale "Where's Waldo" or Wally for those in Oz or UK

Hi all,
I am wondering if there is a HO scale Waldo or Wally available. It would make a great way for kids to check out your layout in more detail, searching for a Waldo or his dog or Wanda. I thought of making one but I can barely paint a one colour shirt on a HO scale person let alone a striped red and white one.
Have fun!

I think you are going to have to paint one yourself, but it isn't as difficult as you think. Take a pin, and a magnifying glass, and just go slowly. Remember it doesn't have to be perfect to get the idea across. I'll bet you can do it in under 15 minutes, and before you know it, you'll be painting plaid shirts on lumberjacks.[;)]

I've actually done this before, and the kids (and adults) love it. You are exactly right, it gets everyone to look very closely at your work.[:)]

Thanks,
What did you use as a starting point for the body?

I do O scale so the painting was a little easier.

I just started with a store bought, standing male figure. Blue pants, and the trademark red and white striped shirt. Facial details, especially in HO, won't really matter, but his hat is an important feature.

If you really want to get into it, get a little plastic filler putty or even a little blob of glue, and build up a hat and satchel. Don't forget his walking stick, which could be made from the fine end of a broom straw.[:D]
