Frequently, when showing people some hobby item that needs assembly, they will say "Doesn't that take a lot of time?" My reply to them is "Its a hobby, not a job. You won't get fired from the hobby if you don't get it done by Thursday. A hobby is very patient. It may take some time but it never demands your time. If you don't work on it for a week or a month, it will still be there when you do have time." Its amazing how many people at that point nod and start to smile, and they usually walk out with something in thier bag. You just have to make them realize that there are alternatives to 'right now-hurry up'.
