I would like to compliment all the people who responded to this subject. There were some very well thought out comments and they were all interesting. Personally I think Athearn will phase out kits sooner or later. There is more profit to be made selling <br />R-T-R models. It may take awhile, but it will happen. I was at a large train show in the Baltimore area and there were plenty of kits available, but there weren't any new offerings.(I'm speaking about Athearn) It was just the same stuff that has been available for years. Plus the number of other manufactures with R-T-R was greater than I have ever seen before. <br /> <br /> Jim
