Gosh! I have never purchased a RTR locomotive. I am steam only and have some extremely modified diecast kit locos from the 50's and early 60's. I still "get" new locomotives, but by using bits and pieces from other folks discards coupled with a good amount of scratchbuilding. I will end up with at least two "new" locos this year, but will not purchase them. I might purchase an offering one day, but the detail will have to be vastly improved over what is currently available, the gearing will need improvement, and they will need precision instrument motors. And, yes, I am what many refer to as an old fart. <br /> <br />Tom <br /> <br />
