Hi there,

I just happen to have a handy copy of the original fold out ad for the "Works" that appeared in MR. (I clipped the large images of the blast furnaces to use on a back drop). The text of the ad refers to four major Cornerstone Series buildings including the blast furnace, the rolling mill, the coke ovens and quencher, and the last...the electric furnace, which in the photo appears to be the largest structure of the group.

The accessories include a three pack of bottle (metal) cars, 53' Thrall gondolas, Quad hoppers, a US Steel Fairbanks-Morse H10-44 diesel, a 65' mill gondola, 40' coke cars, 40' scrap gondolas, 55' cushion coil cars with rounded hoods, a Hi-rail crew cab with crane, , a passenger van, a pick up truck, a step van (?),
a wheel loader, a Terex truck, a blast furnace crew, an electric furnace crew, a loading crew, and a day crew...phew!

There was also what looked like an excellent book by Dean Freytag called "The History, Making, and Modeling of Steel".

I once saw a diorama of the entire Works set up at my local hobby shop. It was amazing!!!
Best of luck!

Ralph
