Question for Fergie.
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, February 5, 2004 10:42 AM
Fergie, I was wondering;
Do you have custom decals made up for your railroad, or do you spell out that really long name one letter at a time from transfers or decal sheets ?
This is not at all meant to be a smarta-- question.........I really am curious. As time, ( and my age ) marches on, I have less and less inclination, eyesight, and steadiness of hand....and perhaps patience[:(]..... for individual lettering or numbering tasks.
regards;
Mike[:)]

Hi Mike

I'm in the process of making decals all I need to complete the process is a new computer, which is on order. This will allow me to design the Logo and crest.

I've done the tranfer thing when I built model ships but I'm afraid that now that I'm fortyish my eyes are starting to loose their acuity.

The plan is to have 1/4 of my rolling stock and engines painted and decalled in MESS livery. That will amount to 6 engines and 30 cars there abouts.

Once I fini***he process I'll post the end result for anyone who's curious.

Ps your not from Canmore are ya?

Looking forward to seeing your ongoing posts in regard to lettering.

Nope, I'm not from Canmore.[;)]
I don't have a stuffed dog named Norm.[:I]
I do miss John Morgan's characters on Royal Canadian Air Farce, though, especially "Mike from Canmore" , and "Jock McBile"[:D][:D][:D]

Mike
