[:D]Good shots of light rail! This PCC is a sharp looking model with clean body lines. Similar light rail vehicles are being tested for transit comapnies here in the U.S.

Also impressive is the architecture of stations and the "spider web" of light railines which connotes good service. The europeons do take pride in their rail systems.

It's sad that the U.S at one time had many cities with massive streetcar and connecting interurban rail systems. It's now costing taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars to build these systems again, ironically some of them are over the same routes that the original systems were on 70 plus years ago!

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

[:(] Like you Antonio I have the same sad feeling. Here in Europe it is the same. The tram had to dissapear for the autocars. But good sense is returning, but like you said it is costing us billions. But when it is economical going less, the devolopment is stopping again. Here in little Holland, they cannot make a good choice between train, tram and highway. In the States you have space but here we HAVE to look for other ways of transportation.
In between let's enjoy our hobby dreaming about it. And in the States one do a good job. I travelled around along beautifull sites. One of my next items will be telling- and showing ofcourse-about that.

How are others of you thinking about this ? Like to hear some meanings.

[8D]Hearing you,
Danny/Amsterdam
