Thanks for the replys, guys. I've actually had a guy on the VW website, who lives around Chicago, post a pic of the UP Challanger steaming through his town last year, dragging freight! He said that a week later, the DDA40X made a trip through town dragging a MOW train. <br /> It's nice to "meet" people who share the same, yet vastly different , interests on these forum boards. It's also kind neat to expose folks to the model railroad hobby that would otherwise never consider the trains can be so "lifelike" and detailed. All they've ever seen are the typical box set trains that we all started out with. <br /> As for the fellow modeler who wants the wifey to go for the R32, all I can say is: if you're suscessful, please tell me how you did it !! I'd gladly sell one of my '92 16V GLi's and use the $$ for a down payment !!!
