Hi Jim, <br /> <br />I don't think there is one particular brand of road bed that is better than another. Most modelers go for the cork roadbed that splits in the middle, and has beveled edges on both sides. You then take the two strips and butt them up end to end, and there is your roadbed. <br /> <br />There also seem to be quite a few modelers that like using the track that already has the road bed on it. Atlas, Bachmann and Life-Like all have added this idea to their track lines. Bachmann calls it EZ-Track, Atlas calls it True-Track, and Life-Like calls it Power-Loc track. <br /> <br />Myself, I use Woodland Scenics' quieter foam bed which comes in rolls and bulk packages. They also have foam bed sheets for yards and stations, which is much wider and will cover a larger area. <br /> <br />Hope that helps. <br /> <br />-Wolv33
