Request for advice about a vendor
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 4:13 PM
Has anyone done business with Discount Hobby Warehouse of Huntley, Illinois? I'm looking at their website. They are advertising a rare (HO) item I'm interested in. But, I'm not interested enough to part with my money unless I can get some good references from satisfied customers.

This item is likely to be used. Should I avoid buying used items?

Thanks for any comments you care to share with me.

First make sure that you can not get a better deal on ebay, sooner or later it will show up there.

Given that they except credit cards, you are fairly well protected, you can always raise a stink with your credit card company.

And I would give heavy weight to "A reference is Ebay 700 + positive feedbacks--@ muffy14"
http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=muffy14

Have fun.
