57 here and recently retired. This is my first train endeavor since I was 10. It was/is an American Flyer set I got for Christmas in 1957. Oddly enough, my wife bought for me an Ahtearn set last Christmas which was supposedly going to be an addition to our Christmas tree display. Of course it has taken on a life of it's own and it was the impetus to build (someday) a layout. I am to the point where I am ready to begin constructing the benchwork and I plan to post photos of the work as it progresses. So far I have enough track, buildings and figures to begin the final plans. This forum has been very helpful and I thank you all for your expertise and patience. <br /> <br />Cheers, <br />Karl
