vises are used when you are going to do some heaviy working on something and you don't want it to move (e.g. sawing/filing brass) but if you are detailing rolling stock as it sounds then you risk damaging the paint or plastic of the car. <br /> <br />Get a foam cradle for this - vises are for things that are hard enought ot be abused. Metal or things that won't be seen. <br /> <br />neil
