Who Loves this feeling

Hi Guys

Who loves the feeling of coupling up to a long string of freight cars and heading out for a trip over the layout, that feeling of having to slow down for a tight curve or a steep grade. I know I do. I wonder what it feels like on the real thing???

It almost feels like the real thing in Microsoft Train Simulator. There's notthing like starting up 2 Dash-9s or 3 SD40-2s with a long freight consist in tow........**sigh** if only.........

ya thats nice except may train will return in about 2 minutes........ so there is no real trip inolved on my layout

I finally got it re-installed and it does feel like the real thing!!! Yes I love that feeling!

indeed, now that I have some street surface down I find that rolling around curves is indeed a more engaging experience, as I have to slow down to a few scale miles per hour and carefully watch the train proceed to slowly inch the train around a tight in-street curve without a derailment. Since this activity is totally accurate for the prototype (and I have pictures of derailments to prove it) I don't feel too bad about it. Going slow also increases the travel time across my six-foot shelf layout considerably--and since I have to pay close attention, that time seems stretched out to a much longer period...

Hi That is a good feeling for sure I can't wait until I've got some mainline to run on . I have only just done one yard and about 4 feet of open track , but from past layouts yes.
