Can you help? One of our readers wants to know:

"I have decided to build a passenger hauling model of one of the Alco 100-series loco's, to the large scale of 2.5" to the foot. Although I have had three of the LGB models for a number of years, and am very familiar with the general outline, I am concerned that the alleged scale of 1:22.5 is not sufficient precise for me to rush into building a model that will eventually cost me the thick end of Can$15000. In other words, scaling it up a model of dubious dimensions is not an option. I want to get it right. Does anyone know where I can find line drawings that I can scale up to my working scale of 2.5" to the foot?"

Have you tried contacting the railroad? I once sent them an email kidding them about calling their passenger cars parlor cars even though they had conventional bench seats. I received a nice reply from a gal who said that the cars once were parlor cars, but were converted for the large influx of tourists.
