Layout Pics
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 19, 2004 4:15 PM
Hey, without refering me to subscribing to Model Railroader Magazine (i buy the odd issue) could some of you post some links to some really good layouts (preferally small) so I can get some more ideas for my layout....or if any of you have pictures of layouts of your own that would really be appriciated.

I have tried searching on the internet but the same websites keep popping up and many of them arent that great.

Thanks for any help you could provide me with.

I'm not sure how small you are talking about, but here are two links to pics of my layout. I wouldn't consider it good by any means but I hope this will help you. Keep in mind that I,m still working on it so it's not in the best shape. The first is the left side and the second is the right side. On the left is a 2X4 ft staging yard and on the right is the interchange that leads to my test track over my desk. It is only 4X9 foot but I'm happy with it so far. Hope this helps you some.

Kevin Burkholder's is cool:

Chris Burchett's is also

www.chescweb.com/hvcorp

You won't find many (if any) pics on the sites but you'll get tons of ideas.

I like Joe Fugate's site too ... <grin>

Seriously, if you want to see some neat layout images, check out the video clip of my Siskiyou Line at: http://mymemoirs.net/preview.html. It's a sample of an upcoming video series being done of the HO Siskiyou Line.

And thanks, Warren, for the kind words about my layout and web site.

Good, bad, or indifferent, you can see the progress on my small layout by clicking on my "WEB" site at the bottom of this post.

Well, the NMRA site http://www.nmra.org/ has both the leadin photos (2 a month) in a photo archive and the Webmaster's Choice which has several years of monthly links to web sites of layouts archived. Enjoy!

Here is a site for layout plans in all scales that you might find helpful:

http://www.layoutdepot.com/view.ihtml

Here's another that is geared to small N-scale layouts (you didn't say which scale you were looking to model in):
