B&O
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, January 18, 2004 9:46 AM
[VMy favorite is B&O. I also like C&O and CHESSIE. My grandpa worked for B&O
Chessie until it became CSX. He came in third when the company renamed itself Chessie. He won a Chessie System clock. When Chessie merged the branch that he worked in was cut. He got laid off. MY FAMILY DOES NOT LIKE CSX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][V][V][V][V][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][V] [V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V][V]

Southern Pacific and Santa Fe are my main roads, while Union Pacific, D&RGW, and Great Northern have their enfluence too.

B & O before the C & O took them over in 1963. I model mainly the transition era of the 40's and 50's.
I won't touch a locomotive in the "sunburst" blue and yellow <gags>.

How about non of the above.
Canadian Pacific, the first from Atlantic to Pacific using one railroad only.

Brought to you by the letters C.P.R. as well as D&H!

I like UP, as well as most any other western RR (no offense to those who model eastern RR's; I live on the west coast, so naturally i prefer western RR's).

I also like most any logging RR.
huh?

Given your options I would go with C&O / B&O. They had some wonderful Articulated's as well as other fine engines. The Appalachians to me is some of the best scenery the US has to offer.

As a former Chessie engineer, I agree that CSX is worthless.

I wanna change my vote! I clicked on "BNSF and Before" because I model the CB&Q, which qualifies as a before. Then I saw the CB&Q stand alone vote has none. So for the record, it officially now has ONE vote, well maybe not officially. They wouldn't let me change my vote . . .
