Athern F-units

I know there are now many more F-units available, including Athern's new Genesis line, but I have a fairly large fleet of the standard F-7's. I saw a product in the Walthers catalog by "American Model Builders" (page 887) to 'fix' the windshield with a flush mount 'glass' piece. I assume it's masked and painted, filling the space and leaving a more prototypical windshield. Has anyone used this, had any experience with it, or an opinion? At about $6 per loco, it's less expensive than replacing the entire fleet UNLESS it's more trouble than it's worth.

I think it's a pretty good product. It's fairly simple and it fixes the problem. I've ordered from American Model Builders before and i was really satisfied with it, infact i think it was a kit to make the space between F units more realistic. I would go for it.
