Anyone have assembly directions for Heljan Brewery B 807
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, January 11, 2004 6:55 PM
Well it's like this. I bought the Heljan brewery over a year ago, and I just sat down to assemble it. But no instructions in the box. I must have taken them out and lost them. Can anyone help with a copy? Or know how to get one?
Thanks much, Glenn

Glen,
You can contact Haljan via email at heljan@heljan.dk
They also list a phone # on their site but it is an international call. Dave

I didn't know anyone actually built the Heljan brewery--I've seen it most often as kitbash-fodder for some other building!

I'm not a fan of instruction sheets, myself...

And most Heljan instruction sheets consist of one page with an exploded drawing of the model...

Glen,
Some people on this forum seem to think that their way is the only way. So just have fun and do what you want. Mr Jetrock's opinion of not building a kit per instructions is not the only "right" way to model. Hell as far as he knows, you've been modeling for 40 yrs and could probably teach him a thing or two. So get your instruction sheet and build your brewery, ***, build two if you want and send one to him and he can kitbash it till the cows come home. Dave

It's just a side comment, dave9999, and a jokey one at that. I *do* actually use instruction sheets, I just don't feel restricted by them. The reason for specifically commenting on the Heljan Brewery is because for many years it was the only large HO scale structure kit available, and many urban modelers used it extensively to create other large structures--it was probably one of the most commonly kitbashed structures produced.

I've been modeling for 27 years now and still try to learn new tricks whenever possible--even when it means checking the instruction sheet.
