I feel as if I got burned on the Genesis 2-8-2, it was a VERY sweet mechanism, some of the best smooth runner ever in HO steam. But could not pull it's own tender up the grades I want to run.

However, a glance at my list that is what is used for purchase planning month to month, Athearn and Atlas deserve KUDOs for releasing product on time, as promised. Even Woodland Scenics released thier Chip and Dale's Barrel Factory "ON time"

Even walthers deserve some praise for thier consistent work with the new products, I have one of thier tanning factories on layway at a good price, one that is unlikely if I wanted to assemble this complex seperately from thier modulars.

I hear that BLI will FINALLY have the NW switchers arriving next week... knock on wood... I will believe it when I see it at the store.

I dont see myself participating in pre-orders too much anymore, my roster is essentially complete, (I will always buy one or two engines that I like and AVAILIBLE RIGHT THEN Not 2 years later or ever) rolling stock finished and structures are either being built or purchased on schedule without the wait.

However, I think that PCM/BLI/FDT will need to sit down in a quiet place and re-assess thier lost mission goal. They say that "Silence No More" when they barged into the HO market with their locomtives. Is it possible that due to excessive silence that BLI is no more?

If they are trying to lead us lemmings into the land of total pre-order with no exceptions or very limited overs for the john q public who might read an advertisement in MR 3 months only to learn it;s out of production and sold out.

Yet the advertisements roll on. Whose lack of oversight is that?
