Heavy Smokers
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 7, 2004 5:22 AM
I have been in model railroading for about 40 years but recently got into "O" gauge. I bought new a K-line big boy last year which runs great, but when it was new it smoked much more than it does now. The same holds true with a caboose I have that smokes.
But now I can hardly get them to smoke at all......Anybody know what I'm doing wrong??????? am I adding too much, too little or wrong brand of smoke?????

It's trying to kick the habbit.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Good luck,

Can't say definitively but I would suspect one of two reasons:
1. There is a build up in the chamber that is preventing the full heat from being available to make smoke
2. the heater element isn't putting out as much heat

Actually, I just quit smoking so I'd have an extra $75 a month to spend on trains!!
