They are trying to charge the manufacturers of models of their trains who sell them and make money from UP's logo. Those manufacturers ARE profitting from using UP's property. Everyone just assumes the manufacturers wil pass the cost on to us. In fact, since no one is forcing them to do that, the model manufacturers are really the bad guys here, if they choose to charge us more for models.
