Steam: NYC J3a HudsonDiesel: F-M CPA-24-5 and EMD E6Hudsons were a beautiful locomotive and when they put the shrouding on them, they looked even better. So futuristic. The E6 was the last with a "slant" nose. Embodied what a passenger diesel should be and then EMD screwed it up. And what can you say about a locomotive that looked like someone hot-rodded it. That was the CPA-24-5 with its BB-A1A truck arrangement. Maybe F-M should have painted them black and put flames on the front and they would have sold better!Just my opinion. Enjoy.
