Used CV 2 and set it to 32 and I got the results I was after! Thanks for the help!

wjstix Ringo58 This is a teporary fix as it will be getting sent out in a few weeks for Tsunami 2 Install, then it should play nice with the other Tsunamis on the layout. Not necessarily. No two engines are exactly alike (even if they're the same model and manufacturer), so you usually do have to do some adjusting of CVs to get two or more engines to start, run, and stop together.

Good to keep in mind. Most of them play nice, besides my 2 older athearns ( one being the MP15)
mbinsewi You might try resetting the decoder, too. I had Atlas speed problems, and a simple reset fixed it. Mike.

Thats setting CV 8 to a value of 8 correct?

wjstix CV2 is the start speed setting, it's one of the universal ones that all North American decoders use. CV3 is starting momentum, CV4 is stopping momentum, CV5 is top speed. So, yes, you can boost CV2 a bit to make the lagging engine start a little sooner, or adjust CV3 on the other engine to delay it's starting to move.

Cool! Going to play around with this later. This is a teporary fix as it will be getting sent out in a few weeks for Tsunami 2 Install, then it should play nice with the other Tsunamis on the layout.
I have a Genesis MP15AC Bandit I would like to run behind my genesis GP38 Bandit. I removed the dummy plug from the MP15 and fitted a digitrax 8 pin decoder out of a Proto 2000 locomotive. It runs great but it doesn't move till about speed step 3, then it starts to creep. Where my GP38 creeps at speed step 1.
I would assume I need to either increase the start voltage on the MP15 or decrease it on the GP38? This is my first time adjusting anything to do with the speeds.
heres my problem: Im not sure what CVs on the digitrax will change the Start voltage.
