Randy is correct, try emailing MRC support, I’m sure a phone call from Brazil would cost about the same as a new handheld.

MRC support has always been very good for me over the years.

Might pay off very good if they help fix yours and your friends.

There may be some sort of system and/or cab reset, but undocumented in typical MRC fashion. Perhaps support can provide help.

Good Morning. Thank you.
Yes, it is out of warranty. I thought there was a way to delete that stubborn number via the MRC command station.
And the worst thing is that, here in Brazil, I have a friend who uses MRC and a member of my group also, who has the same problem with a wire throttle...
But thank you for your consideration in trying to solve my problem. Fernando.

Apparently it’s defective, if it’s still under warranty send it back to MRC if not you’ll have a bad handheld.  If you need the fourth controller check with MRC to see what the cost of replacement is.

My Prodigy does a reset when the power plug is removed from the wall outlet so that isn’t your problem.

You mentioned “one of my cable handheld” do you have a handheld that works correctly?

Good afternoon.

Squeeze me. I apologize for my confusion when responding, previously, to the first reply.
It only ran on layout in scout form. Thanks. Fernando.

Problem with MRC cable handheld
Posted by Fosc on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 10:21 AM

Good afternoon.
My DCC system is the MRC Prodigy Wireless and one of my cable handheld is with the following problem: it memorized a locomotive number (hooked) and there is no way to remove it from it.
If you disconnect the cable throttle and turn it back on, it shows on the LCD that same number; if you continuously press the "Del" key, nothing happens: it does not delete that number at all, and the address "003" does not appear on the LCD again at the end; and if you are on the line any more DCC locomotives, and following the same procedure, the throttle also does not display any of its numbers as we press and remain by pressing the "Del" key.]
Could a DCC system user or any other connoisseur help me, please?
Grateful for any help. Fernando.
