How to wire the BDL168

Hi All,

I just got the BDL168 installed, but it's not working. I wired it as follows:

 

Common wire comes from TRACK A bus wire. Power is on, green LED is pulsating as described in the manual.

I only have two zones at the moment. The question is, do I have to wire the tracks from the booster to TRACK B in addition to the wire that comes from TRACK B to the BDL168? 

Currently TRACK A is fed from the bus wire and TRACK B is only coming from the BDL 168. Am I understanding this wrong?

I ran a quick test and the track works just fine if just connect track A and B without BDL168, but when I disconnect track B from the bus and add it to the BDL168, it seems like there is no power going to the track. What am I doing wrong?

 Track A to the rail that has no gaps./ Track B from the booster to the BDL168, then each section of Rail B that has gaps, gets fed from a different output of the BDL168. If you wired to the edge card connector, you're probably off by one, or mixed up top to bottom. An easier way is the breakout board sold by Accu-Lites. Track and booster connections (and the power for the BDL168 via screw terminals, and then it just plugs on to the BDL168. No soldering.

Single zone one is if the BDL168 will only be powered by a single booster. There is a multi-zone one if you split the BDL across multiple boosters (up to 4).
