I'm sure you guys have done this lot's of times so someone must know how to get a "best buy" on a loksound decoder.
This is a general question as I may want to do this with my few remaining DC locos.
If possible I'd like to have the decoder and a speaker from the same source. Just makes it easier to hook everything up.
Chris.
Loco Guy - is a state of mind - not an affinity to locomotives.
Sit back and enjoy your track...
My local hobby shop ....

.... has the Loksound Select decoders for $75.52, plus they have an assortment of speakers as well. FWIW, the Loksound decoders come with a speaker and enclosure.

LokSound Select decoders come with a speaker and baffle as standard (but not the Select Direct). Ulrich Hobby Shop in Colorado is my go-to place for LokSound.

Mark, Cacole,
Thanks for the VERY quick reply. I'll check out those sources.
Mark, your upside down signature still freaks me out and I know how you do it :-)
Thanks Guys.

Wonder if anyone ever actually clicks on the exclamation mark ? ;)
Well DUH!
Never even knew that was a link - maybe you should let people know.
I'll keep that in mind - thanks.
HA! Never noticed it was a link before either.

I have ordered the LokSound Micro with speaker from Litchfield Station a few times.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

I like to make use of the "alt-code" that allows me to insert appropriate symbols where needed such as: ¶ § ¥ ¢ ® oh, and if you want micro, it's here, too. µ along with some more. Ω ⅔ ↕. The micro and ohm come in handy for electrical discussions.
Some use a word processor and copy>paste so you could use wingdings and symbols there as well.
[edit] I should mention that all of my ESU purchases have been through Litchfield Station with favorable results.

Mark R:
I couldn't find the $75.52 price point on your LHS's site. Am I doing something wrong?
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
