Randy thanks for the input but I can wait for some time without touching anything and that signal does not change. Once I pick it up and start to turn the left throttle the message disappears and the selected loco or the next loco selected shows it's proper loconet address and the throttle responds normally. Fortunately this does not interfere with normal use of the throttle but it is a puzzle and I would like to figure it out. Once again thanks for the ideas.

Based on the upside-down 'F' being the 'T' in Steal, I'm going to assume the message displayed is 'bt' - however a skim through the manual doesn;t mention that as a display at any time. If you wait 2 seconds without touching anything, does it go away? When first powered up, a DT100 is supposed to display its Loconet address, for approximately 1.5 seconds. However, that wouldn;t have the upside-down F as one of the digits. On the digit in the display that shows the upside down F, if you go into some other mode like select loco, do all the segments light up as you scroll through various numbers? If not, it might be something uder than the upside down F it is trying to display, but if all the segments on that digit work normally, it's probably intentional. Hmm, bt might be battery - DT100's like to have a battery in them, but they don't need them if plugged in. They just forget all settings and revert to defaults with no battery.

DT100 Throttle
Posted by Yard goat on Monday, October 21, 2013 2:06 PM

Hi I'm new to this site but have been a digitrax user for a number of years. My major classification yard still has an old DT100 throttle which seems to be working fine however when ever I first turn it on I get a reading that resembles a lower case b and an inverted F on my left throttle. Once I engage the throttle this disappears and the throttle responds normally but when I come back to the throttle this same message appears. Can anyone here tell me what this indicates. Would appreciate any advice on this one. Thanks.
