Joe,
Thanks for the info. I was wondering if that was the case. When I put the unit on the Sprog it pops it up as DH-123 or DH-123 4 Function. I have it under the DH-123 4 Function but it will only dim so it must actually just be the basic 2 function decoder. thanks again for your input.

Digitrax 123 decoders are basic 2 function decoders meaning that in addition to motor control you get headlight forward and headlight reverse both controlled by F0 (yellow and white wires). You don't have F1(green wire) etc. You can do some FX3 things like rule 17 lighting. For what it seems you want to do, you need a D 163 or other decoder with more function outputs. The Digitrax documentation is a little murky but if you look at the installation sheet wiring diagrams for the DH123 and DH163 you will see what I mean.

Go to the Digitrax web site and down load their decoder manual. This should have a list of CV's for their decoders and factory default settings. Joe
Hey guys, Need some help here understanding a few things on Decoder lighting. I have a unit with a Digitrax DH-123 decoder. I'm trying to set it up to where I have function 1 as the front headlight and function 0 as the rear headlight. I would also like them to be able to Dim. What do I need to set CV 49 and CV 50 to, to make this happen? Also is there anywhere where I can find a complete listing of CV's and what each one does? Thanks for the help!
