Try a different throttle cord. Sometimes those little telco connectors will fail to make contact. If that does not change the issue a call to Larry at NCE will track down the problem and fix.

          Good luck.

No, no change plugging it directly into the command station.

Should have included that the layout and the NCE system has power.  The circuit breaker has not "thrown" as indicated by its light.

So, it is a cab problem.

Will it work if you plug it directly into the command station?

Can you plug the throttle directly into the command station?  Since the layout is powered up there seems to be a disconnect in the throttle buss. The little telco connectors lose there connection if they get plugged and unplugged often.

NCE Power Pro Problem - won't take input
Posted by GMILL47 on Sunday, October 20, 2013 11:19 AM

Turned on my Power Pro the other night and the handheld controller displayed the name Power Pro and the Cab No 2.  No pressing of buttons seems to work.  Prog/Esc or any of the other buttons would seem to change the display.  I changed the batteries in the hand held but no improvement.  Could this be a result of the battery in the base unit going dead.  The manual says replace every 5 years.  I don't think it's been 5 years but could be.  I cannot find any thing in the manual about this problem, but the trouble shooting section is not extensive.  I expect that this has been brought up before but my search by topic in this forum did not lead me to anything that resembled this topic.  I went to the NCE Users Forum in Yahoo but had to join and my membership has not yet been approved.  Thanks for any help.
