I think the enclosure is built for a 16x35 mm rectangular speaker if memory serves me right. Any brand from your Dcc supplier of choice will do, as long as its 16x35mm.

tallcapt The tsunami install on the atlas Genset is a little tricky, but can be done with the capacitor remaining. You have to place it under on of the eaves of the worm housings and secure it with some tape. One very smart thing Atlas did do is include a speaker enclosure within the frame. I believe if memory serves me right the speaker has to be face down so the wires are up for a fit. Don't forget to install resistors to the light board as the loco has factory installed LEDs (yea!). It's a tight fit, but I'm here to tell you, it can be done. Brad

Can the capacitor on the Tsanami board be removed without causing grief with operation? I am thinking it is there to help cause restarts due to poor connection or dirty track.

And if you want sound, there is a Tsunami available that will fit into the Genset. LokSound is supposedly working on a sound file for the Genset, too.
The rather large capacitor dangling from the Tsunami makes it a very difficult install. A LokSound Select should be a lot easier once they perfect their sound file.

As Joe's link shows the install could not be easier. The TCS decoder makes this Atlas engine a very smooth runner.

I am having problems getting a decoder to fit in a HO Scale Atlas Genset. I have digitrax 123 and a digitrax N/Z decoder and cannot get either to work. The the HO scale 123 the problem is the decoder chip, while with N/Z decoder the connector to the board is to tall and won't allow the shell to sit properly. Do I have to replace the board? Is there a different digitrax decoder that will work with this engine? What are your ideas?
